We have fabulous news to share this with you which was announced as per tradition in The Gazette, that Kestrel has been named in The Kings Birthday Honours with a Kings Award for International Trade.
The Kings Awards (previously known as The Queens Awards) are the most prestigious awards for UK business. The Awards are designed to recognise and encourage outstanding achievement.
We cannot express how proud and grateful we are to the entire Kestrel team around the world. Our Kestrel family is a group of the most dedicated, qualified, experienced people who always put the customer first and understand the values of customer service, ethics and quality. We cannot thank everyone enough for this exceptional recognition. A true testament to our slogan of ‘Global Reach Local Focus’.
As a company which started out as a 2-man operation working from part of a portacabin in Barking Essex, to grow to become a worldwide company offering all types of logistics solutions to a wide array of customers and industries on a truly global scale, is a massive testament to the vision of Andy Thorne and Mark Patterson (now retired).
The Kestrel Group may have grown vastly from those early days - but the values and ethics that make the company what it is, and the hands-on approach of Founder and CEO Andy Thorne has not changed from Day One.
Of course, an extremely special thank you goes out to His Majesty The King and The Kings Awards office.
Kestrel will be celebrating in style in June at the Palace of Westminster and then Andy will be attending in person to meet His Majesty at Windsor Palace in July.
