Kestrel assists in delivering a second container of donated boats to the SVG Sailing Association

A high performance sailing centre is starting to take shape in St Vincent and The Grenadines thanks to the hard work of its volunteers and a global network of supporters.

We have shipped various boats and equipment out to the Sailing Club in St Vincent culminating in a full container being shipped - using abandoned and unwanted boats.

This week we are delighted to report that a crucial second container of donated boats and equipment is on its way to the St Vincent and The Grenadines Sailing Association (SVGSA).

This second shipment is really momentous because it makes a significant step forward by providing the much needed additional sailing equipment to really make their vision a reality.

Claudia Baba from our Stansted office was on hand to make sure that the last few steps in loading this cargo all went to plan. Claudia has managed this job all the way through and her enthusiasm and hard work is a perfect match to that of Jenny Trumble and her Vincy team.

We have supported Jenny in St Vincent for many years and now with support from World Sailing and Olympic Solidarity, the SVGSA has developed a roadmap to establish this much needed and very exciting high-performance sailing center.

Rather than a Rags to Riches tale, this is a story of from Abandoned to Ambition.

Congratulations to Jenny and all of those involved in this success story.

Take a read through here to see how this has happened and what the future plans are for sailing in St Vincent.
