On October 3 evening, the ILA (union) and the USMX (carriers and terminal operators), reached an agreement for wage terms for the next contract period . The ILA has suspended the labor action. Additionally, the negotiations covering terminal automation have been suspended until January 15th, 2025.

LCL containers which have arrived or arriving to the Miami gateway will be un-stuffed as soon as the containers can be pulled out of the respective terminals.
There is already a cascade of ships that have by-passed South Florida and the plans to re-route containers are being made by respective ocean carriers.
Kestrel’s LCL network will be routing LCL shipments through usual routes; except the UK which for the next several weeks will use an alternate hub to ensure Christmas goods are arriving on time for holiday stocking.
