Angie joined Kestrel 10 years ago in July, and shares with us a few of her early memories. She still remembers her exact start date – 10th July, and is doing exactly the same job that she joined Kestrel for. She has looked after one of the most important aspect of any business for 10 years – our Money! Ensuring we have no bad debts, and ensuring our banking and cash is always up to date. Angie’s friendly and professional manner make her the ideal person for what could sometimes be a difficult job – however Angie’s expertise and personality always shine through giving her a perfect performance record at Kestrel.
Angie shares her 10 year’s service with quite a few others including Peter Heinink, Keith Buckle, Darryl Southgate, Malcolm Cayley – and the list goes on. We feel very privileged at Kestrel to provide the kind of working environment that ensures long service and low turn-over of staff.
Angie remembers the day that Andy Thorne interviewed her and offered her the job – in the very same office she uses now in Basildon. The largest change Angie has seen is the size the company has grown to, but she says ones of the nicest things is the number of clients that are still the same ones she has been dealing with since the day she started. She describes Kestrel as “a tight knit family”.
Angie will be spending her 10 year bonus on replacing a bracelet that she lost during one of her Moonwalks for cancer – again indicative of her spirit and joie de vivre Angie has persevered through a number of serious medical issues with her feet and still managed a selection of long walks for charity.
